Mass mortality among saigas in Kazakhstan featured on Stan TV

In May of 2010 nearly 12,000 Critically Endangered saiga antelopes were found dead in the Ural population in western Kazakhstan.

Decline of the Pre-Caspian saiga population featured on Reuters

The SCA launched an emergency appeal in March 2010 to help save the saiga population in Pre-Caspian Russia, which was under severe threat of extinction after a particularly harsh winter and renewed heavy poaching. For further details please click here.
