Over the last 15 years, saiga numbers have fallen by over 95%, making them one of the most rapidly declining mammal species in the world.
The Saiga Conservation Alliance (SCA) is committed to saving the critically endangered saiga antelope from imminent extinction. We are a long-standing network of scientists and conservationists working on grassroots projects informed by sound science in saiga range states. At SCA we believe in bringing stakeholders together to emphasize human needs and to act as a catalyst for sustainable conservation solutions.
Saiga antelopes have become one of the most rapidly declining mammal species worldwide during the last two decades, with poaching driving populations close to extinction. Today, less than 70,000 saigas remain in small populations in Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Mongolia. To find out more about saigas, follow the tabs at the top of the page.
Donations are crucial to the SCA. If you would like to support our work, please click here.
